Gone going gone

Just got back from KLIA sending off one of my oldest friends ever. You can say I have known her all my life. It used to be the 3 of us, the eldest of all amongst the kids. The three of us used to be extremely close but then teenagehood happened and the inevitable happened, we drifted apart into our own clicks of friends. We couldn't been so different during this time.

Luckily we became matured enough later to have found some common ground. Today though, everyone's so busy with their own thing. She's flown off to U.K. and he's never not busy. I on the other hand have always had a thing for keeping people at arms length. I'm starting to miss all those family trips to Janda Baik and the games we played, whether its charades or win-lose-or-draw or even H.A.N.T.U.

You just never know who's going to pack and leave till they do. PH is already missing a few members and now, so is the GJB.

I regret not spending more times with friends, although it is a bit late for regrets. It is something I hope to rectify in the near future.

Many happy thoughts.

Think tank

Yesterday, Fast Track and the CK's Career Club collaborated program happened. I think it went rather well under the circumstances. The whole screw up about Fazley's fee and the ever so helpful sponsors, not to mention the extremely cooperative VIPs and the ever so wiling committee members (myself included). *note sarcasm*

The program event was called "Young, Outstanding, Unique; YOU with Dr. Fazley and Dato' Mohd Salleh". Dr. Fazley being the motivational guy on AF4 if you're wondering. Also the guy who was rumored of having a fling with Siti. Hahaha. He was surprisingly good actually. Me, being the typical male that I am, thought of how poyo he is due to his "Abang Asmara" title. Fazley turned out to be an exceptional speaker. He spoke of the importance of being positive in any situation and to always be rooted. The later meaning you should never go over your head or be overly confident.

He gave me some new perspective on the term abnormal. I've once said how can you deemned yourself abnormal when most people is abnormal as you are. Meaning everyone's so abnormal that they are normal. If that makes more sense to you. Well now I think abnormal means some one who tries to think outside the box on a regular basis and tries not to conform to the stereotype of the society that they live in.

Einstein was abnormal, so was Thomas Edison, just to name a few. These men, who were distinguish from their respective society are now deemned to be the most intelligent minds of our time. They both challenged society's stereotype and became icons in their own right. I guess the point to be made here is that you should not be afraid or shy to stand out and voice out your opinions no matter how wrong they are. Out of 10 times you've tried, if you succeeded just ONE time, it would still make a big difference. Thomas Edison once said when asked why he failed thousands of times in creating the light bulb, he simply answered, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

Why be afraid of being laughed at people who would never even bother to try? They are just a bunch of spineless cowards who just find it amusing how people try to make a better person of themselves. So the question is, what type of person are you? The prior or the later?

Many happy thoughts.
